EPIC is hosting a Town Hall on June 16th from 12:00pm – 1:00pm via zoom. Please plan to join us! We have invited First Responders, SUD/Mental Health Providers and our community partners to lead a panel discussion on why prevention is important to their work and how prevention plays a role in the health of our community.
We hope that this town hall will inspire a new awareness and understanding of prevention, how it works, why it is essential, and how to get involved in EPIC. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about EPIC, what we have accomplished over the last year and what we hope to accomplish with our partners in the future.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Brought to you by the Partners of One Valley, One Conversation: Clarkston EPIC Coalition, Tri-State Memorial Hospital, LC Valley Boys & Girls Club, Asotin County Public Health, Public Health – Idaho North Central District.
Register Today for Guiding Good Choices – a Parenting Program
Guiding Good Choices (GGC) is a program that provides parents with the knowledge and skills needed to guide their children through early adolescence. Consistent, positive parental involvement is important to helping children resist substance use and other antisocial behaviors. This program is a five-session curriculum, not including an introductory session, that focuses on strengthening family bonds, managing family conflict, preventing substance abuse in the family, setting clear family expectations regarding drugs and alcohol and avoiding trouble. Sessions are interactive with opportunities for parents to practice new skills and receive feedback. Families also receive a Family Guide containing family activities, discussion topics, skill-building exercises, and information on positive parenting.
Guiding Good Choices will begin Wednesday June 16th, 2021 from 6pm to 7pm. These groups will meet 1 day per week for 6 consecutive weeks. Snacks provided. If you have questions or special circumstances please contact Mollie Mustoe – mmustoe@qbhs or (509) 758-3341 ext 2217
